How to choose useful hidden places in Iceland

The best outdoor stops in Iceland are rarely selected by name alone. A waterfall can be a quick roadside stop or a remote detour. A hut can be public, private, locked, seasonal, or only useful as a landmark. A hot pot can be a respectful local bathing place, a fragile natural site, or a location that should be avoided when access is unclear.

No. DULIN is built as a planning map. A place can include category, access, road, season, verification, photo, nearby place, route, weather and camera context depending on the available data and access level.

Why are some places hidden behind Premium?

Premium supports map tiles, hosting, data cleanup, photo handling, source checks and ongoing maintenance. The free version remains a public preview while Premium unlocks the fuller dataset and planning tools.

Can I rely on DULIN for safety decisions?
