Terms of use
Effective date: 23 May 2026. These Terms govern use of DULIN, a curated Iceland outdoor map and data service for hidden places, routes, access context, Premium planning tools and GPX-oriented workflows.
Planning tool, not a safety authority
DULIN is a planning layer. It does not replace official Icelandic road, weather, aviation, national park, protected-area, emergency or travel safety information. Conditions can change quickly, and users are responsible for verifying current conditions before visiting a place, driving a road, hiking a route, flying a drone or using any outdoor planning data.
Accounts and Premium access
Premium access may unlock additional records, filters, GPX exports, route context, nearby conditions, drone planning signals and other tools. Access can change as the product, data sources and billing model evolve. Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and for activity under their account.
Data accuracy and limitations
DULIN works with curated data, public sources, imported records, photos and ongoing cleanup. Some information may be incomplete, outdated, approximate, restricted, seasonal or wrong. Do not rely on DULIN as the sole source for safety-critical, legal, access, weather, road, river, aviation or emergency decisions.
Acceptable use
Users may not abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape protected Premium data, interfere with infrastructure, misrepresent DULIN data as official authority information or use the product in ways that harm sensitive places, landowners, wildlife, protected areas or other visitors.
Automated access and data extraction
DULIN is provided for individual trip planning and normal interactive use. Users may not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, AI agents, browser automation, bulk download tools or similar automated systems to collect, copy, harvest, export, mirror, resell, republish or reconstruct DULIN data, Premium records, route data, map metadata, photos, GPX outputs or account-protected content.
Users may not bypass, disable or work around access controls, rate limits, paywalls, export limits, authentication checks, technical restrictions, robots.txt instructions or other protections. Creating multiple accounts, sharing account access, rotating IP addresses, using proxies or otherwise disguising automated activity to extract data is not permitted.
Public search engines may index publicly available non-API pages in accordance with robots.txt. This permission does not allow bulk extraction, automated copying of datasets, reuse of Premium data, or use of DULIN as a data source for competing products, training datasets, resale lists or unpublished third-party databases without written permission.
DULIN may monitor usage for abuse, rate-limit requests, suspend or terminate accounts, block IP addresses, revoke Premium access and remove access to exports when automated extraction, suspicious harvesting or misuse is detected.
