What the access data means

• The approach is recorded as car road access.
• River-crossing context is recorded as possible. Known OSM ford is within nearby access distance. Verify whether the ford is on the actual route.
• The record carries a review date of 2026-05-04. This date alone does not establish a field visit or confirm today's access; individual sources and current conditions still need checking.

How to use this campsite in a real plan

Verify opening dates, check-in rules and facilities before using this as the night's fixed endpoint. Shoulder-season closures and weather can matter even when the location remains visible on the map.

Drone planning

Drone status is not fully verified in this public place record. Check official sources before flying.

Nearest runway/airfield is Árborg at about 9151 m. Usually not enough for a hard rule, but verify official map.

The nearest recorded airfield is Árborg, approximately 9.2 km away. Distance alone does not determine whether a flight is legal.

Make the stop resilient

Open the map before departure and compare this point with nearby hikes, roads and alternative stops. Recheck weather, road status and local signs on the day; a useful Iceland plan keeps this stop optional when the access data is old, incomplete or weather-dependent.
